I designed this home 20 years ago. This was the first ‘Open Floor Plan’ that I’ve ever designed. I grew up with this style of home in Miami and loved it. These fantastic clients were from England and they craved color; they needed color! And they adored the South Florida lifestyle. So I kept very true to the feeling of this area. Soft tropical hues and earthy elements. This Donghia fabric started the whole design. Opulent and livable. Sea glass and charcoal fluid vertical stripe was my inspiration. I railroaded it on this custom sofa so the colors would just flow nice and easy through the room. Each room had custom everything. We built this peekaboo fireplace and we surrounded it with sandblasted glass and chrome with chrome bullets on one side and a rustic Burgundy frame on the master suite side. We created a lot of stunning tropical trompe-l’oeil finishes through out the home. We even designed the exterior and landscaped it with this pretty curvy walkway around their home. This property sparkled and the family was delighted.
